We may seem quiet but…

We’re actually very noisy! >.< We’re preparing the September/October 2011 issue, our first issue, and making sure it’s the best magazine we can offer to you all. We’re finishing up the rest of some edits and are moving along in terms of the photographs and layout. Although we’re doing all this, we’re very sorry that we haven’t been as active on Tumblr as we normally are. Or me that is, haha.

But if you want to drop us a message or say hi, please feel free to do so! Everyone contributing to Hi/Hello Magazine right now are volunteers and I am personally very thankful for them.

Hope you’re all doing well! And don’t forget that tomorrow is Love Letter Monday! If you have love letters, please send it to us. Some will be published in the magazine only and some will be for Tumblr. Soon, all of them will be available in our Love Letter Gallery in our upcoming website!

Hi ya’ll. It’s me, Angela. If you all have anything you want to say about why your long distance relationship is worth it, drop us a line, and we’ll make your submission into a picture. I made this one because there aren’t any submissions so we need you. I also made it because I am also in a LDR and he’s planning on proposing to me when he visits in September. In this spot, 10 weeks ago tonight, two old friends and lovers reconnected after 33 years.
And I love him still…as if no time had passed.
Found August 2010 on a railing in Kentucky. There was a view of the Cairo Ohio River Bridge

I was looking through my digital camera and found pictures I forgot to upload to my computer. This was one of them. Immediately, I remembered the sense of awe and romance filling me as I read this. Wow, I whispered, and the river breeze carried the sound to my sisters. Together we read it again.
I’m not sure if this should be a regular feature, but if you found love, be it in a note, saw a scene, read a scribble on the bathroom stall, tell us about it. Send us a picture. Take a short video. At the very least, some people will find these inspiring.
And if you think this should be a regular feature on our Tumblr, or built into a gallery on our future website (under construction), or added as a gallery into the magazine like our Love Letter Gallery then let us know. We love to hear your opinions.
I love that I found this photo weeks before our first issue Bridge the Distance came out. Reconnecting, near a bridge, after years of being apart… I live for these stories. =)

Journal Exchange - an activity for LDR couples

You don’t have to write in it every day. You don’t have to write a lot. You don’t even have to profess your undying love because the one you give it to will feel it anyway.
